The Big Buddha is a magnificent sight with a spectacular view. The Big Buddha is free to visit, and there's no entry fee.

It is a long walk. You will find yourself climbing uphill, and on dirt, into the jungle where wild monkeys reside. Sometimes ropes were provided to help climb. When it's not too hot, it is best to start your climb early in the morning. (

) Dominating the whole of the island, the big buddha is a monument to absolutely visit. The view is sublime and the place impressive inside and out. We did a small meditation initiation session which was very pleasant and relaxing. (

Basicaly its a ancient jain temple... which got converted. Still there is a statue of shri aadinath bhagwan
